Philip Anthony Mitchell is the Lead Pastor for VICTORY Church, a lively new church in the Atlanta area. A native of Queens, New York, Pastor Philip survived a tough upbringing, going on to become a leader in his generation, and a powerful and passionate preacher of the gospel.

Pastor Philip has been an itinerant speaker for eight years, delivering life-changing messages in cities along the east coast and has traveled outside the country on several missionary trips. He is a former Pastor of Evangelism and assistant Youth Pastor for a North Carolina mega church, and the brain behind, The Vibe, an explosive youth movement that impacted the Atlanta area suburb of Forest Park, Georgia. The ministry began with a handful of teenagers and reached over a 1000 students and young adults in just one year, recording hundreds of decisions for Christ and testimonies of transformed lives.

An honors graduate from North Carolina Central University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, Pastor Philip also holds a degree in Pastoral Leadership from Valor Christian College in Columbus, Ohio, where he graduated valedictorian. While in Columbus he was heavily involved in the outreaches of a local mega church where he also preached in several inner-city crusades.

He is married to his best friend Lena, and they make their home in the Atlanta area with their four children, Malachi, Israel, Abigail, and Josiah.

On April 14, 2004, the vision for Victory Church was impressed upon the heart of Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell during a time of prayer alone in a small North Carolina apartment. He recorded everything God showed him regarding the future impact of this church, and hid that piece of paper in an old picture frame he possesses to this day.

In June of 2010, Pastor Philip and his family arrived in Atlanta, Georgia with nothing but their hopes of starting a life-empowering church. After two more years of preparation, serving in the local church and even leading an incredible youth movement that shook an Atlanta area suburb, Pastor Philip felt the leading of God to step out in faith and begin the ground work to start Victory Church. Then on February 22, 2012, he and his wife Lena, along with 10 other believers, held their first launch team meeting in a Days Inn Hotel. From that day forward they began to gather regularly for prayer, planning, and vision casting. God began adding to their numbers and moving mightily on their behalf as the mission to plant Victory Church started to become a reality.

Victory held its first public worship experience on October 7th, 2012. Pastor Philip now leads this growing group of pioneers with a burning passion and clear vision to lift up Christ, retrieve the lost, and empower people.
